Cantor Pro MX 40% Diodeless Hotswap Split Keyboard Kit
Would you like to build a small affordable keyboard, but don’t enjoy soldering diodes? Well, this might just be the kit for you!
Designed by 42. Keebs with the Frood controller and Kailh MX hotswap sockets. Inspired by the original Cantor by Diego Palacios.
Firmware can be downloaded from our Firmware page. For flashing guide see the Frood product page.
Features
- 42-key layout similar to Corne, but with more pronounced stagger
- Uses standard MX switches
- Hot-swappable using Kailh MX hotswap sockets
- Based on the powerful but affordable Frood microcontroller module (not compatible with other controllers without the extra 5 I/O pins along the bottom edge, e.g. nice!nano)
6x RGB underglow + 1 RGB indicator (or 7th underglow LED)sadly only the top 3 RGB LEDs are working due to a stupid error in the schematic 🙁- No diodes! There’s enough I/O on the Frood that there’s no need for a matrix (and therefore no need for diodes)
- Includes acrylic sandwich case for a compact feel and streamlined looks
