Other required parts not included in the kit:
- 41-44x Cherry MX-compatible switches (depending on layout)
- 1x 6.25u + 1-2x 2u OR 3-4x 2u stabilizers (depending on layout)
Optional parts available as add-ons:
- Switch plate foam and case foam to improve feel and sound

This was my first order from 42keebs and it did not disappoint. The cutting quality, materials and packaging are all top-notch. The build is easy and intuitive. Was super easy to solder. Flashing was a bit tricky because the flash-guide docs were gone from coseyfannitutti’s github repo, but wasn’t hard to do with QMK+avr.
Build tips:
Make sure to add both optional foam pads (plate + case) because the standoffs are provided for that thickness.
Check the alignment of your shift and caps-lock switches for the proper position, I managed to mess mine up and had to desolder.
Went with the split space layout and it works nice. Great entry point to the 40% world on a budget. Added Gateron blues because that is what I had around. Sound is fine despite being a caseless design.
All in all very satisfied with both the kit and the store, keep up the good work!

this kit is superb, all the parts and instructions are pretty clear and the quality on everything is great. not much to say about this, it’s easy to build and result is outstanding, looks neat. only thing I’d clarify is that my resistors and capacitors where different than the ones on the build guide, not just a different color but a different shape, almost didn’t thought I had the right one. works exactly the same tho but just wanted to put this here.
