Corne Chocolate Low-profile Hotswap Split Ergo 40% Keyboard Kit

This is version v2.4 modified by 42. Keebs to include a power switch and battery connector for wireless operation and native nice!view support.

Build your very own custom split keyboard from scratch!

• Split 12×3 + 6 (40%-ish) ortho/ergo layout with an OLKB MX spacing (19.00×19.00 mm)
• Supports Kailh Choc V1 switches only
• Uses Kailh Choc hotswap sockets
• Supports in-switch RGB LEDs and RGB underglow
• Optional OLED screens
• Includes a power switch and battery pads on the PCB (v2.3)
  
• Native support for the power-efficient nice!view screens (v2.4)
• Optional mid-plate available for a neater case without gaps
• Fairly easy to build – based on Pro Micro controllers, but uses SMD diodes
• Tinned lead-free finish, black solder mask

Please note, the RGB pin had to be changed to pin 14 (B2 / GPIO23) due to nice!view support. RGB is not supported when using the nice!nano, and custom Vial firmware is required for RGB support using the Frood (available soon from our firmware page).

• 2x main PCB
• 2x 2 mm acrylic switch plate (clear or smoky grey)
• Optional 2 or 3 mm foam mid-layer (to fill the gap between the PCB and the bottom plate)
• 2x 2 mm or 3 mm acrylic bottom plate (clear or smoky grey)
• 44x SMD diodes (42 + 2 spare)
• 42x Kailh Choc V1 hotswap socket
• 2x TRRS socket
• 2x SMD power switch
• 2x Reset switch
• Brass standoffs and screws
• Acrylic covers

Other parts required to finish build:

• 2x Pro Micro-compatible controllers (Frood, nice!nano etc.)
• 42x Kailh Choc V1 switches

Other optional parts not included in the kit:

• Controller sockets (to make them removable)
• OLED screens + OLED sockets
• 12x SK6812MINI in-switch RGB LEDs for underglow
• 42x SK6812MINI in-switch RGB LEDs
